Even state of the art Conference rooms sitting between 25 – 300 people. A swimming pool for cooling, exercising and refreshing the mind and body. There is a restaurant and bar aloft the sea (Jetty One) as well as the Makuti Bar which is famous for its cocktail drinks. The young citizens have not been forgotten as there is a Kids corner equipped with ice cream and other mouthwatering delights and children games. During the weekend children are entertained with acrobatics and animation shows which are very popular to the children. There is ample parking space and high security for 100 cars. All this with 115 dedicated and qualified employees at your service to ensure all customer needs are met in a professional way and standard.The Hotel came out of three gentlemen’s dream (Hamisi Kindoroko, Charles Bekon and Bruno Mteta). The trio practiced the saying “Umoja ni Nguvu”, joined their forces together and crated the currently Giraffe Ocean view Hotel which started operating in November, 2006.It is not easy to picture Tanzanian managing to operate a Four Star Hotel with determination and self motivation the three gentlemen did. On the 19th June 2010 the hotel was awarded the Four Star grade at the Stars awarding event at the Mpingo House at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism following the Hotel classification exercise conducted in Dar es Salaam and Coast regions by the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism Madam Shamsa Mwangunga. On behalf of his partners and the staff of Giraffe Ocean View Hotel the Managing Director Mr. Charles Bekon received the award with pride and joy. During an interview with some press members Mr. Bekon could not contain his happiness. He had this message to all Tanzanians especially entrepreneurs, “We have shown the way that we can also reach international standards if only we are determined to do so. Let us mobilize our resources to achieve our dreams. This is a dream come true, we have had this in our minds and now it has happened I am very happy, we are aiming next for the Five Star.” With such determination the sky is the limit for these guys.Giraffe’s MD Mr Bekon being presented with the award by the Minister for Natural Resources & Tourism Hon. Shamsa MwangungaIt has not been an easy road for the Management of the hotel to this achievement but with determination and commitment they were able to make it. The achievement was a result of proper plans from construction to the set up of the hotel project, commitment from both the owners and employees, Customer’s support, high quality service and goods delivery and last but not least prompt response to customer’s demand. As the Managing director says, ‘The graveyards are full of businesses that didn’t listen to their customers but at Giraffe Ocean View Hotel the customer is the king.’Giraffe Ocean View Hotel has created employment to more than 110 employees 98% Tanzanian of origin with a percentage of 49% being female and 51% male employees. The Hotel ensures its customers receive quality service at an environmental friendly venue.
